Reddit To Move Headquarters To The TenderloinPhoto: Google Maps

Another technology company is taking the leap into the Tenderloin. SF Business Times reports that the social news site has secured a lease to take over all of 420 Taylor St., formerly home to mobile gaming company Chartboost and medical data company Practice Fusion.

The 50,000-square-foot, four-story building with onsite parking is located right on the edge of the Tenderloin and Union Square, making it a quick walk to plentiful public transit and shopping options, as well as the many new eateries popping up in the immediate area—like Tselogs and The Halal Guys—and around Mid-Market—like the forthcoming Popsons burgers and Waystone wine bar.

As the Business Times reports, Reddit's move from SoMa comes after former CEO Yishan Wong forced all of its employees to relocate to San Francisco or take a severance package in 2014, then considered moving the company to Daly City to take advantage of lower office rents.
