A man was thrown into the bay off of Pier 27 last night, but was rescued, according to SFPD.

The call came in at 11:45pm Sunday, June 5th, after a man, 27, charged a 69-year-old-man from behind and threw him off of the cruise terminal pier and into the cold water. The victim, who was unable to swim, was pulled out by a witness. (There was no cruise ship in port at the time.)

Responding officers located the suspect and arrested him.
