KKK Flyers Appear On Upper Haight DoorstepsPhoto: Nuala Sawyer/Hoodline

NextDoor users and neighborhood tipsters are reporting today that someone is passing through the neighborhood distributing Ku Klux Klan flyers on front stoops and gates.

The flyers, which cite opposition to the Black Lives Matter movement, also include contact information for joining the KKK, reading, "please join before it's too late."

The flyers endorse the KKK's pro-Second Amendment position, and allude to the group's longevity and geographical distribution while alleging that it is "not a hate group."

So far, flyers have been found around Haight & Clayton and around Oak & Lyon, and appear to have been distributed sometime between 9:30am and 1 or 2pm.

If you're concerned about the flyers, the SFPD's Park Station community meeting is this evening, at 6pm, at Park Station (1899 Waller St.)
