It's been a topsy-turvy week in the Upper Haight (just take a look at our news roundup, below), but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of fresh, fun options ahead for getting out and about in the neighborhood.

First, don't forget that this is the last weekend to scope out Flower Piano at the Botanical Garden before it closes on the 18th, so if you're interested in catching some plein air piano action, make sure to head by this weekend.

Highlights this weekend also include a bagel pop-up headed to Second Act tomorrow morning: swing by for bagel sandwiches featuring toppings like Cognac Dill Lox, Roasted Chicken with Jalapeno Green Chile Cream Cheese, and Cherry Tomato Jam with Herbed Goat Cheese.

It's also the Booksmith's 40th anniversary celebration tomorrow afternoon, so bringĀ a story about the Haight Ashbury or about Booksmith, and stick around for champagne, cake and dancing.

On Sunday, get up early for the 30th annual AIDS walk at Sharon Meadow, which you can register for here. This also means that the eastern end of Golden Gate Park will be occupied with official activities, so plan accordingly.

And now for your Upper Haight weekend event roster of diversions, festivities and goings-on. As always, submit your own events for listing and peruse citywide options at hoodline.com/events.
