Lower Haight's Iza Ramen Taking Over SoMa's Former Triptych SpacePhoto: Brittany Hopkins/Hoodline

It didn't take long for the former Triptych space on Folsom at Seventh to find a new tenant. The artful brunch destination closed in March, and now, the Lower Haight's Iza Ramen is poised to take over, according to Inside Scoop.

Tomoko Sugiyama, an employee of the Fillmore Street ramen spot, says the new location will offer a selection of izakaya-style tapas in addition to their popular Japanese noodle bowls. Unlike the original location, they'll also serve lunch. An official opening date has not been set, but Inside Scoop suggests this fall is likely.

Iza isn't the only restaurant bringing ramen South of Market this fall. Also expected to open later this year: Arsenal, a noodle bar by day and "whole-animal Asian barbecue restaurant" by night, which will be located at the corner of Brannan and Harriet.
