Voters on their way to the polls at City Hall hit a roadblock at Van Ness and Market this morning, as a group of protesters opposed to the Dakota Access Pipeline stood in the street to block the intersection just after 9am.

"A group of protesters shut down the intersection," said tipster Greg. "[Around 9:10am], I overheard one of the protesters saying they'd be done in 20 minutes."

Other people on Twitter noted that the protesters had smoke devices, and that Muni buses had been significantly delayed. Police asked locals to avoid the area.

The protesters were also seen outside the headquarters of Uber, at 11th Street and Market, bearing signs that read "No DAPL" and "What they do to the water, they do to us."

We'll keep you posted if and when the protest is cleared.
