From an Asian fusion dumpling lounge to an American bar and grill, here are the latest businesses to enter into Oakland's already diverse culinary scene. Happy feasting!

North Beach Deli

North Beach Deli's newest outpost (501 14th St., Suite 125) opens today. Located across the street from Cupcake Cove, it serves wraps, salads, "sandwicheez," and freshly baked chocolate cookies and bread.

Along with an open kitchen that allows customers to watch their food being prepped, the new store features a "modern, yet classy and chic layout that reflects California-style fresh Italian food," owner Alec Ghafouri told Hoodline via email.

"The walls are covered with white subway tiles along with small yellow strips in upper wall areas (like California sunshine)," he said.

Qi Dumpling Lounge

Order a plate of tapas at Qi Dumpling Lounge (3300 Grand Ave.), an Asian fusion restaurant, which opened on New Year's Day. Its menu includes favorites like won ton soup and crispy pork pot stickers, as well as creative dishes like Crab n' Cheese Puffs and soy-glazed pork belly sliders.

Pho Vy Vietnamese Cuisine

According to Yelp reviewer Victor G.Pho Vy Vietnamese Cuisine (401 International Blvd.) has an "ambitious menu." Alongside pho, the new and "extremely spacious" restaurant offers spring rolls, rice platters and drinks.

Imperial Soup

Tipster Rick L. informed us that Hong Kong-style Happy Cafe has been renamed Imperial Soup. The casual eatery in Chinatown recently changed ownership, but the interior space and menu remain pretty much the same; it now offers personal soups, which are individually steamed for four hours.

Lula

New Ethiopian establishment Lula (2805 Telegraph Ave.) replaces Bole Ethiopian Restaurant, which closed suddenly in December. "[T]he food is reminiscent of "what your mother would cook at home," wrote Yelp reviewer Pamela D. "It doesn't have the fresh, exciting quality that Bole had, but it is good as comfort food."

Milky Way Coffee

Milky Way Coffee (1724 Mandela Pkwy.) doesn't only serve coffee and pastries; it also offers salads, sandwiches and smoothies. The cafe features a clean, open space, which Cian P. describes as "welcoming and unpretentious."
