A 26-year-old man was killed in a collision Saturday night at Middle Point and West Point roads in Bayview.

According to police, a vehicle driver was traveling southbound on Middle Point around 9:23pm, Saturday, February 18th, and maneuvered around a parked bus at the intersection. The driver subsequently collided with a man riding a dirt bike in the opposite direction.

The victim—identified as Thomas Osborn Jr.—was ejected from his dirt bike and transferred to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officer Robert Rueca, an SFPD spokesperson, has confirmed that the vehicle driver involved in this collision is cooperating with the investigation.

"We know who they are and they remained on scene after the accident," Officer Rueca said. "There's a number of factors involved, and if it's determined by the investigator that they are at fault, they will be booked. Right now it's too soon to tell."

We'll update this story if and when additional details are released.
