On Haight Street, Driver Flips Car, Flees ScenePhoto: Michael W./Hoodline

At approximately 9:45pm, a car, traveling west on Haight Street between Pierce and Scott streets, flipped.

Police were on the scene shortly after.

The driver allegedly fled the scene before authorities arrived. Just moments ago, authorities were seen searching the car for identification before loading the battered vehicle onto a flatbed truck.

Although the driver is still at large, he was allegedly bleeding and appeared injured. The car was found with Nevada license plates.

It is unclear at this time if the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash, although the driver was allegedly speeding.

The car reportedly hit vehicles parked on the street, damaging at least one, before coming to a stop — upside down.

By 11:30pm, Haight Street was blocked to vehicles, but not to pedestrians. Muni buses — including at least the 6 and 7 lines — have been affected by the crash.
