Craving falafel? You’re in luck: a new spot has opened up on Van Ness.

Called ABC Falafel and located at 1235 Van Ness Ave. (between Sutter and Hemlock), the new spot features a streamlined offering of falafel dishes, desserts and drinks.

The menu features a simple falafel sandwich; falafel plate with tabouli, baba-ghanouj, hummus and tahini; veggie combo; and "special dish" that includes seasoned fries. For dessert, look for baklava, hilbah (fenugreek sweet cake), and harisah (sweetened semolina); drinks include hot coffee and tea, as well as soda and juice. 

Nathan C., the first Yelper to review the new spot on May 11th, said: "Delicious falafel sandwiches! A welcome addition to the neighborhood! Small menu, but quick and friendly service."

Ellen C. added: "Stopped in for a falafel sandwich on my way home from work and was not disappointed. Hot and crispy falafel in a delicious pita, filled with salad, hummus, and other goodies and topped with the perfect amount of sauce. Welcome to the neighborhood!"

ABC Falafel is now open at 1235 Van Ness (between Sutter and Hemlock).
