Mangosteen Has Closed On Larkin, Thai Noodle Bar To Follow

It’s the end of the road for Mangosteen, which has closed for business at 601 Larkin St. (between Willow & Eddy).

Tipster Gusto M. let us know about the impending closure, sharing a sign posted on the door:

It saddens us to inform you that Mangosteen will be closing our doors this Saturday, April 29, 2017 ... We appreciate your loyal patronage over these years, and we thank you for letting us serve you!

The Vietnamese restaurant has held down the corner of Larkin and Eddy for over a decade, but it looks like Thai cuisine is now on the way.

A liquor license permit has been filed for a business called "Lapats" at the address, and a Facebook page for "Lapats Thai Noodles Bar" has been established, so look out for a new business coming soon to 601 Larkin.

Never miss a story.
