Fortunately for foodies and fashionable folks, the dairies that gave Cow Hollow its name were forced out in the late 1800s.

Over the next several weeks, one of the city's poshest shopping districts will welcome an upscale menswear boutique, a chocolatier, and a new eatery that caters to early-risers.

Bonobos Menswear Guideshop, 1964 Union St.

Men seeking a consultative shopping experience can look forward to Bonobos opening another San Francisco Guideshop in the late summer.

Guideshop, which already has an outpost near Union Square, offers casual and workwear with a chance to get assistance from a personal stylist. While walk-ins are welcome, patrons are encouraged to make an appointment with a guide who helps with sizing and selections. Fittings and orders made in-store are delivered to the customer's home or office.

Store hours are expected to be 10am–7pm weekdays and 11am–7pm on weekends.

Globo, 1977 B Union St.

Owners Izzy Valenzuela and Eduardo Ruiz opened their first business, Toma, in the Marina in 2012; Globo, an açaí bowl and tea shop is their next venture.

Globo will target healthy, active eaters with a menu based around açaí bowls (Globo's main item), fresh-brewed and cold-brewed yerba mate (with different infused flavors), coffee, smoothies, and fresh oatmeal, with plans to expand the menu later on.

The business will open early for morning commuters with grab-and-go and online order-ahead options: "[We are] catering to morning breakfast on-the-go people, and those that want a lighter lunch, or after-school snack," said Valenzuela. Globo opens this month and will operate daily from 6:30am–5pm.

Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates, 3108 A Fillmore St.

Starting this summer, Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates will open in the former home of Bubble children's boutique, which has relocated to Union Street.

The shop will sell bonbons with locally-inspired flavors, macarons and macaron ice cream sandwiches, ice cream by the pint, and of course, chocolate (hot and confectionery).

With a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and almost 10 years of experience working for chocolatiers and pastry chefs across the country, founder Ginger Elizabeth Hahn—and her husband and partner Tom Hahn—launched their first location in Sacramento.

Hahn said she intends for her shop "to be a place where men—and especially women—could work in a nice, clean, and safe educational environment." After years of working for others, "I was getting jaded and I was done with the sexist kitchen," said Hahn. "I wanted to provide something helpful; a place for people to thrive and learn."

Treats will be available Tuesday to Thursday from 10–9, on Friday and Saturday from 10 to 10, and on Sunday from 11–6pm.
