Shortly after noon, San Francisco Fire Department issued a shelter in place order for the area near 20th & Douglas Streets in the Castro due to a broken gas main.

Residents in the vicinity are advised to stay indoors and close their windows; to receive updates directly from SFFD, text ALERTSF to 888777.
[Update: 1:18pm] As of 1pm, SFFD lifted the shelter in place order; no injuries were reported.
