Here's a look at reported criminal activity around SoMa since our last crime roundup. Unless otherwise indicated, all incidents are under investigation and originated from SFPD's daily media reports.

Man Stabbed On 6th Street With Scissors

A 58-year-old man was injured during a stabbing which took place at the 100 block of 6th Street at 2:25pm on June 4. It was reported that the 59-year-old male suspect approached the victim from behind and stabbed him with a pair of scissors. The responding officers were able to place the suspect under arrest and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Multiple Suspects Arrested In Street Robbery

A 30-year-old man was robbed by two suspects on June 2 at 4:00am on the 900 block of 4th Street. A 19-year-old male suspect pulled a knife on the victim while a 16-year-old male suspect took the victim's property and then fled on foot. Both suspects were later apprehended and arrested.

Early Morning Hot Prowl 

Police responded to a report of a burglary from an occupied home between 3am and 8am on June 1 on the 100 Block of Langton Street.

A 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman reported that they woke up in their residence to find their laptop missing. One victim believed the suspect entered the unit through a balcony, but no one was seen. No arrest has been made.

Verbal Altercation Leads To Assault

At Stevenson and Duboce Streets, a 33-year-old woman was assaulted at 12:30am on May 29. The suspect (a 34-year-old man) approached the victim and began a verbal altercation before assaulting her and fleeing on foot. The victim was reported to have been hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. No arrest was made.

Midday Carjacking On 8th Street

At 11:45am on May 22, a 52-year-old victim was approached by a 35-year-old suspect on the 500 block of 8th Street while he was inside his vehicle. The suspect simulated a weapon and told the victim to exit the car, and after the victim exited his car, the suspect drove off Westbound down Brannan Street.

The vehicle was later found unoccupied and no arrests were made in the incident.

Bank Robbery By Note

A bank robbery was reported to have taken place at the 400 Block of Brannan on May 20 at 1:10pm. The report states that a 25-year-old male suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note. The teller then gave the suspect money and he fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Hoodline contacted SFPD on the incident and no further information was given, but the only bank in the area is a Wells Fargo at 490 Brannan.

Man Injured During Robbery on Stevenson Street

At 11pm on May 17, a 47-year-old man was injured during a robbery at the 1300 block of Stevenson Street. A 20-year-old male suspect walked toward the victim and hit him, causing non-life threatening injuries. The suspect then took the victim's bag, which contained a laptop and his cellphone. The suspect was reported to have fled towards Duboce Avenue on foot. No arrest was made in the incident.

Suspect Punches Victim Over Bag

A violent robbery took place on May 16 at 3:30am at Market Street and Van Ness Avenue. The 51-year-old male suspect approached the 45-year-old female victim and demanded her purse. The report states the victim was punched while struggling over the property and the suspect took off with her purse and cell phone in an unknown direction. No arrest was and no hospitalization was reported.
