64-Year-Old Man In Critical Condition After Tenderloin Chain AttackImage: Google Maps

A 64-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after he was assaulted with a metal chain in the Tenderloin on Friday afternoon, said police.

The incident occurred as the victim was walking behind the suspect, a 38-year-old man, along the 200 block of Turk Street at 12:42pm on July 14th. The suspect suddenly turned around, swinging a metal chain and striking the victim.

The victim was critically injured and taken to a hospital. The suspect was arrested.
