Looking for what to do in the Mission this week? Look no further: we've got the rundown on what to do and where to go to get the most out of what's coming up.

Friday, July 28th

Coffee Cupping Fridays, 11am-12:30pm
The Laundry Gallery and Cafe, 3359 26th St. (Free)

Starting Friday, July 21st we will be hosting an informal coffee cupping every Friday morning at 11 am! Coffee cupping, or coffee tasting, is the practice of observing the tastes and aromas of brewed coffee. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a first-time "cupper", all are welcome!

Ain't Mama's Drags, 7pm-10pm
Balançoire, 2565 Mission St. (Free)

Ain't Mama's Drag where you can expect the unexpected. Join Cruzin d'Loo and her crazy cohorts as they present an eclectic variety show. We feature Drag Queens, Kings, Singers, Dancers, Performance Artists, and whatever the cat might drag in.

Inside Baseball - A Comedy Variety Show, 8pm-9pm
Stage Werx Theatre, 446 Valencia St. ($5)

Ready to get weird? Inside Baseball is the only show in the Bay Area featuring interviews with fake people. Santa Claus after he's angry about the election results? He's here. A man claiming to be the person that the John Wick series ripped off? He's there too.

Saturday,  July 29th

Succulent Terrarium Workshop, 11am-1pm
Paxton Gate, 824 Valencia St. ($60)

Terrariums have become increasingly popular and are great homemade gifts.  In this 2 hour class, students will follow step by step instructions on our favorite planting techniques.  All materials are included in the price of the class and will go home with their creator to be enjoyed for years to come!

Conversations With Strangers!, 4pm-6pm
Dolores Park, 18th and Dolores (Free)

Come join us! To get started we'll meet at the Miguel Hidalgo statue in the park. Before spreading out to start conversations, we like to take a group photo, so be on time. We'll be out there for about 2 hours, but stay as long as you wish. Sometimes at the end of the day, we like to get together to eat and share stories/conversations of the day.

Sweater Funk 9 Year Anniversary Party, 10pm-2am
Elbo Room, 647 Valencia St. ($5)

San Francisco’s Sweater Funk DJ crew have been the city’s most dedicated purveyors of the funky subgenre known as BOOGIE since the summer of 2008. Their vision to bring boogie, strictly on vinyl originals, to the masses has earned them a diehard following who pack the house.

Sunday, July 30th

Short Film Festival, 11am-2pm
Roxie Theater, 3117 16th St. ($12)

Films playing were made in the Bay Area at our Feb, March & April, Actor & Directors Challenge Events.

Heath Factory Tour, 11am-12pm
Heath Ceramics, 2900 18th St. (Free)

In the heart of San Francisco’s Northeast Mission neighborhood, and at the center of a creative campus that houses our Heath retail showroom, Tartine Manufactory restaurant and café, and viewing court area, is our tile factory. You can get a sneak peek of the workings from various points in the building, but you shouldn’t miss the full factory tour in person.

Sports Basement Yoga, 11am-12:30pm
Sports Basement Bryant Street, 1590 Bryant St. (Free)

Kick start your week with 90 minutes of yoga here at Sports Basement! We host weekly classes with different instructors, styles of yoga and levels of difficulty. Don't worry though - all classes offer modified positions for beginners or those with injuries.

Did we miss any good goings-on in the Mission? Let us know in the comments.
