A new fast-casual eatery has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 2031 Chestnut St. (between Fillmore St & Mallorca Way) in the Marina, the fresh addition is the newest installment of pan-Asian chain Asian Box.

Open since July 12th, the Marina location joins outposts in  Burlingame, Mountain View, San Jose, Los Angeles, and Irvine, and it supplants the original location inside Macys' food court, which shuttered earlier this year.

Look for boxes like the Miss Jones (lemongrass pork, chilled noodles, sauce tossed veggies, caramel egg), Chicken Curry (potatoes, carrots, jasmine rice, coconut curry sauce), Salad Box (Asian salad, rice noodles, crispy shallots, peanuts, herbs, choice of soy garlic beef or six spice chicken) and more, ranging in price from $8.75-$13.75. (See the full menu right here.) And Marina crowd, take note: as of this Saturday, there are also cocktails on offer.

With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Elizabeth C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 14th, said: "Bottom line: Friendly staff. Tasty food. Substantial portions. There seem to be multiple locations, but this one in the Marina District of San Francisco is new."

Yelper Justine C. added: “So good! The food is fresh and super tasty and you can pick a box from the menu or make your own. The drinks are all amazing and it's a nice open vibe. Highly recommend it!!”

And Aashna S. said: "Delicious and fresh food and wonderful staff. Great drinks that are reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!!"

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Asian Box is open Monday–Wednesday from 11am–9pm, and Thursday–Sunday from 11am–10pm.
