Here’s a look at recently reported crimes in the Bayview Police District, which includes Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Bayview and Hunters Point.

Unless otherwise noted, all reports come from SFPD's daily crime recaps and are still being investigated.

Man Carjacked At Gas Station

On July 11th at 4:07pm, a 25-year-old man was preparing to fill up his car at a gas station on the 300 block of Bayshore Blvd. As he approached the pay station, two men in their 30s jumped into his vehicle and drove away.

The victim chased the two suspects and climbed onto his car while it was in motion. One of the suspects brandished a gun, forcing the man to release his hold on the vehicle. The victim was taken to the nearest hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Two Hot Prowlers Nabbed

On July 6th at 3:06am, a 29-year-old woman woke up to the sound of people in her home on the 400 block of Mississippi St. Upon investigating, she found two men in their mid-twenties rummaging through her belongings. The two suspects fled the scene after being spotted, and were later arrested by SFPD.

Woman Shot In Leg On Connecticut Street

On July 3rd at 9:41 am, a 32-year-old woman was standing on the 900 block of Connecticut Street when she heard a gunshot. She looked down to discover that she was struck in the leg.

She suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident and was taken to the nearest hospital.

Panhandler Shoots Man

On June 28th at 7:45 am, a man in his mid-50s shot a 23-year-old man on the 1300 block of Shafter Avenue after the victim refused to give him money. The suspect then fled north on Ingalls Street.

The victim was taken to the nearest hospital, where she was treated for injuries considered to be non-life-threatening. No arrests were made.

Rolling Gun Battle Leaves 17-year-old In Critical Condition

On June 27th, we reported that a 17-year-old male suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot around 11pm while driving on Bayshore Blvd. and Marin St. For more information, here's our story.

Shelter-in-place Issued After 4-alarm Warehouse Fire

On June 16th, we reported on a four-alarm fire at 1300 Donner Ave. that started in a one-story abandoned warehouse at 1:11pm.

The Bayview Police Station holds a community meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 201 Williams Ave. The next meeting is August 1st.
