Despite its prime location, the corner space at Fell and Laguna has struggled to find a tenant since Spanish food shop Nosa Ria moved out in December 2014.

Now, neighbors might have spotted the colorful, mostly purple window decorations covering the storefront for the last couple of weeks.

The decorations belong to iThinkEvents, an event management agency which moved in earlier this year and is using the space as a showroom.

"That's a place where we are meeting with clients," said director of marketing Jessica Pluskowski, adding that she hopes to attract foot traffic. She said staffers are happy to talk to potential clients who come into the space.

In 2012, we reported that the space comes with a basement that's twice the size of the street-level area, making the entire place around 3,200 square feet. For a short time last summer, District 5 Supervisor candidate Dean Preston leased the space as his campaign office.

The space has a basement where iThinkEvents will serve clients "and use the space for a cooking class or demonstration," Pluskowski said. "We also have a conference room and another smaller potentially conference waiting area."

At the moment, the firm is still working on getting the kitchen area ready.

"As an event management company, our clients often want to taste the food beforehand; this provides our vendors an opportunity to come in," Pluskowski said.

"We are not just an event showroom, we bring to life our clients' vision through all of the senses," said CEO and founder Gareth Gallagher via email.

Pluskowski said the company is also starting a candle line that will be sold in the store, currently still in production.

"We like to stay at the forefront of design and events and the city is ever changing, this means looking for innovation everywhere," Gallagher said.

"We just love this neighborhood," Pluskowski said.

The London-based company also has offices in Europe and Asia, but the Hayes Valley showroom is its first physical space in San Francisco.

iThinkEvents also plans to contact neighborhood businesses and work with them during future events. "We definitely want to tap into the community," Pluskowski said. "There is so much available here."

Customers can drop in Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm, or contact a representative online.
