A new Mediterranean, Greek and Moroccan spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Marsa Lounge, the new arrival is located at 11906 Wilshire Blvd. in Sawtelle.

Chef/owner Nassir Nasr and the team behind Marsa Lounge and Catering is committed to bring "a variety of alternative Mediterranean foods straight from the shores of coastal cities." Nasr has a longstanding history of working in kitchens across many countries, including France, Lebanon, Turkey, Italy and Greece.

Diners will be happy to see an expansive menu filled with Mediterranean dishes, including hummus, which comes in seven variations ($6-$9), babaghanouch ($6), tabbouleh ($9), and chicken shawarma ($14), as well as appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches and main entrees. (See the full menu here.)

Round out the meal with your choice of dessert, from basboussa (Semolina, almonds, almond extract, yogurt), to baklawa rose blossom (flour, butter, rose blossom, almond, pistachio) and more.

With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has already made a good impression.
