A new nail salon and waxing spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 343 7th St. (between Webster St & Harrison St) in Chinatown, the new addition is called The Difference Nail Salon.
The new business promises organic and eco-friendly products for its mani-pedis, with treatments that include a volcanic clay mask, Dead Sea salt scrub, and warm stone massage "with cabernet grape extract oil and organic coca butter to nourish and moisturize." Complementary herbal tea, juice or filtered water are on offer, with alcoholic beverages available upon request.
The new salon offers a full lineup of nail services, from signature manicures and pedicures to gel, acrylic, and silk wrap, plus face and body waxing. (See the full menu here.) If you're planning on stopping by, there are some deals afoot: Yelp is running a $20 for $35 worth of services promotion (get it here), and Groupon currently offers 50 percent off mani-pedi services (find it here). The new nail salon has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Angela F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 4th, said: "I love this place. One thing I liked about it as that they use Stones with inspirational words labeled on them. And they use side for massaging your feet or your hands or both."
Yelper Anthony W. added: “This is by far the best nail salon in Oakland ! I have gone to several nail salons in Oakland and this one is where you really get your monies worth.”
Head on over to check it out: The Difference Nail Salon is open daily from 9am–5pm.
