After a substantial makeover, the bright, airy space now houses an office area for meeting with clients, a furniture showroom and a front-room gallery.
Mahecha said the move from her former Inner Richmond storefront (147 Clement St.) went smoothly and that much of the furniture stock from her European suppliers will trickle into the new showroom over the next few weeks.
The gallery space at the front of the store, curated by Duval Contemporary, is a way to play with having so much more space than the former store, she said. Curator Christine Duval has worked with Mahecha in the past.
Though there simply wasn't space for a gallery show at the Clement St. store, they've wanted to work together, and in fact Duval has worked with artist Rik Ritchey in her former role as the curator of LIMN gallery.
Ritchey's show will be up in the space through December 2. For hours, call 415-506-9233.
