A man was stabbed to death yesterday afternoon in Hayes Valley on Hayes Street between Franklin Street and Van Ness Avenue.

At 2:06pm, police from Northern Station responded to the scene and discovered a 48-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene; his identity has not been released.

No suspect was identified, but police say the investigation is ongoing.
