Two armed robbers held up two women late last night in Cole Valley, police have reported.

In the incident, which took place at 11:55pm near the corner of Clayton and Waller streets, two male suspects stopped their car beside two women, one 27, and the other 58 years old.

One suspect, described as 25 to 30 years old, got out of the vehicle and approached the women before aiming a handgun in their direction and demanding their property. The other suspect was described as a male in his twenties.

After the victims handed over their phones, wallet and a purse, the thieves fled west on Waller Street in their car before turning south on Cole. No information about the suspects' vehicle was released.
