A woman who intervened in an argument in the Upper Haight yesterday was hospitalized after a man involved in the dispute struck her with an automobile.

The incident occurred near Buena Vista Avenue West and Waller Street at 2pm when a 53-year-old woman tried to quell a verbal dispute between a man approximately 30 years old and an unknown female. 

After he became angry, the victim left the scene, but the suspect reportedly accelerated his car and hit her before fleeing.

The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to a hospital for treatment. The suspect was not arrested.
