A 25-year-old man was left fighting for his life in SoMa early Sunday morning after four men he was fighting with later struck him with a car.

The incident occurred just after 2am near 3rd and Harrison streets when the victim, a 25-year-old male, was involved in an physical altercation with four suspects in their twenties.

After the fight ended and the suspects got into their vehicle, they fled a parking lot "and purposefully struck" the victim with their car before fleeing northbound on 3rd Street and west on Harrison toward the freeway, according to police. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
