Freshroll Vietnamese Rolls & Bowls keeps growing with the debut of its third location at 357 Kearny St. (between Bush St. & Pine St.) in FiDi.
The counter-service Vietnamese chain, with its newest eatery in the former Harrow spot, tops Foursquare's list of the "15 Best Places for Healthy Lunch in San Francisco."
Freshroll has a four-step menu: diners choose between banh mi sandwiches, rolls or bowls; pick a protein (lemongrass pork, chicken, steak, tofu, garlic shrimp); select their fillings, including crispy shallots and pickled veggies; and add a sauce such as citrus ginger, Vietnamese vinaigrette or sweet and sour chili. Catering is also available.
With a four-star rating out of three Yelp reviews, the spot is earning solid feedback from clientele.
"Very friendly and extremely well-organized," said Justin S. "I think they'll be around for a while.”
Yelper Laurel M. added, "Yummy healthy food! Easy ordering (they have screens/kiosks) for a fast lunch during the busy workday—makes for less waiting. Not crazy expensive and the ingredients were really fresh. The shrimp was really tender and had great flavoring."
Freshroll Vietnamese Rolls & Bowls is open weekdays from 11am–3pm.
