If you love Mexican food and seafood, you're in luck: Mariscos La Costa has opened its second Chicago location at 1132 N. Ashland Ave. (between Division Street & Haddon Avenue) in Ukrainian Village.

The casual restaurant has a wide-open dining room that features dark woods and table seating, and the walls are lined with televisions and Spanish street signs.

On the menu, look for both fish and shrimp tacos, as well as pasta la costa (linguine with shrimp, mussels and clams in a spicy sauce). You can also order fish cooked in your choice of a number of sauces, which is served alongside rice and a salad.

With a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Oz S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 7th, said, "This place is legit. Also, it's BYOB with a liquor store next door so it's super convenient. Every table gets salsa served with tostada shells and fish ceviche. Beware of the orange habanero salsa. Muy caliente!"

And Megan M. said, "My boyfriend and I tried La Costa last night and were delighted with how wonderful it was from the amazing food to the excellent service. Delicious, perfectly seasoned food, huge portions, attentive and friendly service and currently BYOB (Garden Gourmet is right next door for booze)."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Mariscos La Costa is open Friday and Saturday from 11am–11pm, and Sunday–Thursday from 11am–10pm.
