Mother Dough brings unique pizza to Park SlopePhoto: Mother Dough/Yelp

A new pizza place has opened its doors in Park Slope. Located at 72 Seventh Ave. (between Lincoln Place and Berkeley Place), the fresh addition is called Mother Dough. It specializes in pizzas with whole wheat, barley-based and even gluten-free crusts.

The pre-designed pizzas include the burrata and crudo di Parma on whole wheat, and the Portofino with Italian pesto and cherry mozzarella on barley crust. (You can check out the full menu here.) Delivery is available through the Caviar service.

The newcomer has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.

Riccardo A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 28, rhapsodized, "We decided to share the burrata and Parma pizza. The soft and airy dough combined with the delicate crunchiness of the crust to offer the ideal support to the very tasty topping ingredients. The sweet and fresh tomato, the creamy and milky burrata and the thin cuts of the Parma prosciutto could be tasted separately or in an enhanced harmony of flavors."

And Margaret M. said, "Decided to give Mother Dough a try — excellent pizza! I ordered the whole wheat margherita which was totally delicious. The pizza was filling but light. Small seating area, and very friendly staff!  The place is very clean."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Mother Dough is open from 4 p.m.–9 p.m. on Monday, 2 p.m.–9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 2 p.m.–10 p.m. on Thursday, and 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
