Three people were wounded by gunfire in two separate shootings on Friday, police have reported.

In the first incident, which took place on the 2600 block of California Street around 1:16 p.m., a 35-year-old man was arguing outdoors with a 39-year-old woman when he shot her before fleeing on foot.

The victim, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was transported to a hospital for treatment, and police are still seeking the suspect.

Several hours later, just after 10 p.m., a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were driving north on Fillmore Street toward Golden Gate Avenue when several shots rang out. The victims stopped their vehicle when they realized they’d been wounded, according to police.

KPIX reported that the male driver was wounded and “a female passenger was shot in the leg multiple times.” No arrest has been made in the case.

Anyone who has information about either of these incidents is encouraged to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.

Here’s why we usually don’t include suspect descriptions in crime reports.
