Time for another look at notable crimes reported in the Castro since our last roundup. Unless otherwise noted, all details are from SFPD reports.

Multiple suspects threaten victim with knife, attack him before robbery

KRON4 reported on a June 17th robbery. Around 1 a.m., the victim, Rido Quini, was walking near Diamond and 20th when multiple male suspects drove up behind him in a car and surrounded him. One suspect allegedly punched Quini while the others pushed him to the ground and went through his pockets before stealing his wallet, ID, and watch and fleeing in the vehicle.

Purse robbery leads to fight

Also on the 17th, at 3 a.m., an unknown suspect approached a 40-year-old woman from behind and grabbed her purse near 16th and Sanchez. A fight began over the stolen purse and the suspect then fled with the victim's items including a phone and glasses. 

Prowler enters home with stolen key, scared off by victim

Later in the morning on the 17th at 5:45 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a lock box key and entered a home near Hartford and 18th. A 30-year-old man saw the front door opened and screamed, scaring off the suspect who fled with the key.

Bicycle thieves break into garage, one arrested

On June 16th at 1:08 a.m., two men, a 28-year-old and one of unknown age, broke a lock to enter an apartment building garage near Dolores and 17th and stole four bicycles. One suspect was arrest with two of the bicycles, but the other suspect and additional bicycles got away. The owner of the stolen bicycles is a 34-year-old man.

Suspect burglarizes home with sleeping victim inside

On June 15th at 1:42 a.m., a 37-year-old man was asleep in his home near 15th and Sanchez when an unknown suspect entered and stole his laptop before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Three-suspect assault sends victim to hospital

On June 10th at 2 a.m., a 42-year-old man was outside of a restaurant near 17th and Castro when three younger men, 20-30, assaulted him. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and no arrests were made.

Suspect sets box on fire before leaving the scene

On June 8th at 3:37 p.m., a witness watched a man, 25-30, standing next to a box on the sidewalk near 18th and Noe. The suspect walked away and the box began to smolder. The witness was able to put out the fire before police arrived.

Home burglary leads to double arrest

On June 6th at 7:03 a.m., two suspects, a 39-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, entered a home near Dolores and 18th that was occupied by a 37-year-old woman. The suspects stole a bicycle trailer and were arrested by police as they exited the home.

Church Street robbery leads to pursuit

On June 5th at 3 a.m., a 23-year-old man was walking near Church and 20th when another man, 40, approached him and asked for money. The older man then grabbed the younger man's backpack and ran. The victim chased the suspect along Church Street, but lost him, along with the victim's passport, debit cards, transportation card, and hotel key.

Burglar enters unlocked door, steals belongings

On June 4th at 11 a.m., a 31-year-old man left his front door unlocked near Dolores and 14th. When he returned to the entry area, he discovered and an unknown suspect had taken a television, bikes, and computer parts.
