So you're hungry—and you're ready for some healthy food. Good news: we've found the freshest spots to satisfy your appetite, all conveniently located on or just off major shoreline artery Biscayne Boulevard.  Here are the newest places to check out the next time you're in the mood for healthful food.

Eat Greek Express

3530 Biscayne Blvd., Wynwood

Eat Greek Express is a Mediterranean joint specializing in Greek food, with plenty of healthy and vegetarian options. The location at 3530 Biscayne Blvd. is the third for the local Miami business.

Diners can start out with plenty of Greek classics like hummus, baba ghanoush, spanakopita, falafel and Greek fries with feta, olive oil and oregano.

Also on the menu are a variety of pita wraps, like lamb gyro and chicken souvlaki, as well as large platters with a mix of different skewers and sides. (You can check out the full menu here.)

With five stars out of 13 reviews on Yelp so far, Eat Greek Express is well on its way to developing a local fanbase.

"This place is totally authentic and totally delicious," wrote Yelper Andry M., who reviewed Eat Greek Express on May 2. "The owner and the cook are super nice. If you treat them well they will take care of you like family."

Yelper Suzie C. said, "Wow, I haven't had an authentic gyro in Miami in years! Their lamb gyro is to die for! All their veggies are fresh and very tasty."

And Joviel G. added, "After visiting Santorini and Athens, this is about as close as it gets, folks!" 

Eat Greek Express is open from 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. daily.

Almalibre Açaí Bar

Almalibre Açaí Bar is a vegetarian and vegan spot offering açaí bowls and more. Located at 1040 Biscayne Blvd. in downtown Miami, its food is largely plant-based, but includes a few meat dishes.

Diners can choose multiple ingredients to top their customizable açaí bowls, or select from a variety of preset options like the Skydiver, topped with hemp seeds, sunflower seeds and strawberries.

If you're in the mood for something heartier than an açaí bowl, Almalibre offers hot dishes like the gluten-free nachos with tomato, red onion, sweet pepper, avocado, black olives and cashew cream, or one of three kinds of vegan burgers: chickpeas and quinoa, red rice and tempeh or oat, tofu and green olives.

Almalibre Açaí Bar currently holds five stars out of six reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

"The place is super clean, love the minimalist, geo, greenery vibe," noted Dee H., who was the first to review Almalibre on April 3. "Very impressed by the food ... So good that I tried to go back the next day, but it was closed."

Yelper Marcos L. added, "The best açai in Florida! Nice and chill place! The açai is very fresh and smooth. I recommend this place."

Almalibre Açaí Bar is open from noon–8 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, noon–9 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.–4 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

Wabi Sabi By Shuji

Wabi Sabi By Shuji is a Japanese eatery specializing in noodle and poke bowls, located 851 NE 79th St. in the buzzy MiMo Historic District of the Upper East Side.

Headed by Shuji Hiyakawa, former executive sushi chef at Kuro inside the Hard Rock, it focuses on a seasonal ingredients and environmental friendliness, as the Miami New Times reports.

The choices for bowls include the signature Wabi Sabi, with tuna, salmon, lump crab, tobiko, cucumber, avocado, seaweed and shiitake mushrooms; customers can choose from sauces including sesame ginger, spicy mayo and spicy sesame soy, and vegetarian and vegan choices are available.

Wabi Sabi also offers a variety of healthy cold pressed juices, housemade "yuzunade" (yuzu lemonade) and desserts like the matcha cheesecake. For special occasions, the restaurant will prepare large shidashi sushi boxes for customers who order in advance. (You can check out the full menu here.)

Wabi Sabi currently holds five stars out of 33 reviews on Yelp, indicating rave reviews from patrons.

"The music, the decor, the service, the food were perfect," wrote Yelper Ken D., who was one of the first users to visit Wabi Sabi on May 18. "If what you want is to visit a hidden gem with beautiful food and energy, Wabi Sabi By Shuji will not disappoint."

Linda M. noted, "If you bring your own bowl, you save $1 for carry-out. I like that concept."

And Yelper Frances L. said, "It's impressive they press their own juice and make almost everything in house."

Delirio Fresh Co. Express

100 S. Biscayne Blvd., Unit 108, Downtown

Delirio Fresh Co. Express is a vegan spot, offering juice and smoothies along with açaí bowls and avocado toast. The new Miami location for the local chain follows two Delirio Fresh Co. outposts in Doral and one more on the way, as we previously reported.

On the menu is a wide variety of largely plant-based fare, from sandwiches, salads and protein bowls to "energy smoothies" like the Green Vegan Matcha, with matcha, spinach, kale, banana, almond butter, hemp seeds and almond milk.

The selection of customizable açaí and "protein smoothie" bowls includes a choice of three toppings added to a base bowl, such as the açaí banana bowl with whey protein and almond milk. (Check out the full menu here.)  

Delirio Fresh Co. Express currently holds four stars out of 11 reviews on Yelp, indicating a positive reception from patrons.

Yelper Maria Eduarda T., who reviewed Delirio Fresh Co. Express on May 1, wrote, "Love this new place. The cocowhip is my favorite, I never saw it anywhere else and it is actually healthy (depending on the toppings). The service is great too."

And Carlos D. noted, "By far, this is one of the best healthy food spots in Miami. For a quick bite or a full meal, it is just perfect."

Delirio Fresh Co. Express is open from 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m.–4 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
