Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best high-end seafood outlets in Baltimore, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to fill the bill.

1. The Capital Grille

Topping the list is The Capital Grille. Located at 500 E. Pratt St. in Inner Harbor, the chain steakhouse is the highest rated high-end seafood spot in Baltimore. From New England clam chowder and shrimp cocktail appetizers to lobster and crab burger or roasted swordfish with crab and mustard vinaigrette entrees, The Capital Grille gets consistently high marks, boasting 4.5 stars out of 415 reviews on Yelp. They also have an extensive wine list.

2. Roy's Restaurant

Next up is Inner Harbor's Roy's Restaurant, situated at 720B Aliceanna St. It's another chain restaurant, with a Hawaiian bent, and it receives four stars from 821 reviews on Yelp. The menu offers poke and lobster bisque among its appetizers, a large number of fish and shellfish mains (Alaskan black cod with boy chow and rice, tiger prawns with udon noodles), plus sushi rolls. Cocktails include Roy's take on the mojito (with mango puree), martini (vanilla vodka and pineapple), and mai tai (secret recipe).

3. Sotto Sopra

Downtown's Sotto Sopra, located at 405 N. Charles St., is another top choice, with four stars out of 338 reviews. The fancy Italian spot offers grilled salmon as part of its fixed lunch menu, either as a panino with capers, heirloom tomato and aioli, or plated with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. A wider selection is on tap for dinner, from halibut to a seafood stew.  

4. Ouzo Bay

Ouzo Bay, a Greek and Mediterranean spot that offers seafood and more in Inner Harbor, is another pricey go-to, with four stars out of 289 Yelp reviews. Part of the Atlas Restaurant Group, which also owns Tagliata, Azumi and Bygone, Ouzo Bay serves fresh whole fish from Greece, Holland and the Atlantic. There are scallops, lobster and calamari, as well. Consider a sampler of grilled langoustines, paradise blue shrimp saganaki, grilled octopus and grilled calamari to share with your group. It's at 1000 Lancaster St.

5. Gunther & Co

Last up, over in Brewster Hill, check out Gunther & Co, which has earned four stars out of 202 reviews on Yelp. Treat yourself to traditional American and Asian fusion cuisine at this 7,000-square foot space with a large outdoor patio. Seafood dishes are plentiful and include: fish roe with grapefruit, Thai chili, cilantro, chives, dill, fish sauce and lime juice; a Thai seafood hot pot with phanang curry broth; and sea scallops with asparagus risotto.
