Get bubble tea and more at Downtown Bellevue's new Mi TeaPhoto: Pigs Out S./Yelp

A new spot to score bubble tea and smoothies has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 175 Bellevue Square in Downtown Bellevue, the newcomer is called Mi Tea.

Bellevue is the third U.S. location for this China-based tea shop, which has more than 1,000 outposts around the globe. Its specialty is Himalayan pink salted cheese tea drinks, pairing a tea base with a rich, creamy cheese foam topping.

Tea options include oolong, matcha, Formosa black, peach oolong and more. The shop also offers some fruit smoothies and milk teas, like an orange squash, mango slush or coconut milk tea with mango pudding.

Mi Tea has gotten good reviews thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of 26 reviews on Yelp.

Emily X., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 30, wrote, "OMG, I have been waiting for this place to open since April! The tea selection is really similar to Xi Tea in China, but Mi Tea has way more selections."

And Annie C. wrote, "Ordered 30% sugar cheese covered matcha, but it turned out to be a lot sweeter than my friend's 50% sugar cheese covered oolong tea. They were really nice to re-do the matcha for me, however."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Mi Tea is open from 9:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.
