Itching to check out the newest eateries to open in Lower Greenville? From a new taco spot to a poke joint, read on for a rundown of the newest destinations to debut in this part of Dallas.

Rush Bowls

Rush Bowls is serving up açaí bowls, smoothies, fresh juices and more. This is the small chain's first outpost in Texas. 

On the menu, look for options like the Jungle Bowl (strawberry, pineapple, banana, shaved coconut, fat-free frozen yogurt, guava juice and orange juice) or the Beach Bowl (açaí, mango, banana and pure guava juice). Both come topped with granola and honey. See the full menu here.

With a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Lisa A., who reviewed the new spot on Aug. 11, wrote, "Super yummy and so many choices! Fresh fruits, great service and lots of delicious options. A must try!"

Yelper Alicia W. added, “This is such a quick and healthy place for a snack or light meal. The staff were super friendly and allowed us to sample their all-natural (no additives) peanut butter! So delicious, I highly recommend it. Also, they have mini puppy bowls for dogs."

Taco Heads

Taco Heads started as a food truck with a mother-daughter team using the family's recipes to create the taco menu. This is the taco joint's second location; the first is over in Fort Worth's Cultural District.

The new modern, casual eatery serves tacos, including breakfast tacos all day, plus snacks like elotes and quesadillas. Among its signature tacos, you'll find the Nuevo Leon Al Pastor (with grilled pineapple, onion, cilantro, red cabbage, adobo and queso fresco) and the Garlic Cilantro Gulf Shrimp (with purple pickled slaw, onion, cilantro, lime zest and queso fresco). With 25 reviews on Yelp thus far, Taco Heads currently has a four-star rating, indicating a positive reception.

Aijha M., who reviewed it on Aug. 13, said, "This place is amazing! I could taste the freshness in the meat and it was so flavorful and colorful. Everything went together. The elote and sweet corn tortilla chips were amazing."

Erik B. added, "The food, the drinks, the friendly atmosphere and the staff all together ranks this as one of my favorite places to eat."

Mamasan House of Poké

Mamasan House of Poké is a Hawaiian spot with poke bowls and more. It features a wide assortment of bowls like the ahi tuna with daikon, arugula, cashews and Hawaiian Red Sea salt.

Other options include the chicken karaage with baby kale, cucumber, lime, watermelon radish and spicy mayo; and the kula pork with shiitake mushrooms, arugula, watermelon radish, pineapple, green onion cilantro pesto and cashews. Menu options can also be turned into a roll with a nori wrap and sushi rice. See the full menu here.  

Yelpers are excited about Mamasan House of Poké, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of 43 reviews on the site.

Yelper Jennifer J., who reviewed it on June 29, said, "If you love poke, you will love Mamasan. First, its location and private parking lot make it super easy to get to, and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The patio has huge fans to fight the Texas heat. The menu is simple, so there is no stress to ordering."

Ariel W. noted, "This is a really great addition to the neighborhood! I'm in love with their veggie options and appreciate being able to modify the wonton nachos."

BurgerFi

BurgerFi is a quick-service joint that serves up gourmet burgers, hot dogs and shakes. This is the Florida-based chain's second location in the Metroplex, after the one in Arlington. The interiors are decorated using renewable and sustainable materials. It focuses primarily on burgers, using meat that is hormone and antibiotic free.

Notable burgers include the CEO (double wagyu/brisket blend burger, candied bacon tomato jam, truffle aioli and aged Swiss cheese), the Conflicted Burger (Angus beef, veggie patty, American and white cheddar cheeses, lettuce, tomato and house sauce) and the Breakfast All Day Burger (Angus beef, American cheese, bacon, maple syrup, fried egg, hash brown, grilled onions and ketchup). Round out your meal with some fries or onion rings, then grab a shake, custard or custard float. 

With a 3.5-star rating out of 36 reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer is off to a mixed start.

Brittany C., who visited on June 27, wrote, "Went looking for a good good burger and BurgerFi did not disappoint! The staff was so kind and the burger was delish. Their special sauce really makes this place stand out too!"

Dena F. noted, "It's a fancy fast-food place. Don't get me wrong, the burger is delish. ... And then you remember how much you paid. Two burgers, one order of fries, one water and one tea is $35. Then you clutch your chest and fall out."

Poke Sushi Roll

Poke Sushi Roll is a poke joint, offering sushi and more. It's helmed by chef Charlie Kim, who has 30 years of experience in the culinary industry.

If you're there for poke, you can build your own with either two or three protein choices, then select your base, mix-ins, sauce and toppings. Any poke bowl can be turned into a salad or burrito instead. See the full menu here.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 32 reviews on Yelp, Poke Sushi Roll has been getting positive attention so far.

Yelper Esther G., who reviewed it on May 25, said, "If you go, be sure you have time that week to go in multiple times because you'll be craving it. The bowl is a good portion and you can pick any fresh ingredients for it. Had a few sushi rolls so far as well, and they have all been generous in size and so tasty."

Sheena N. added, "I love everything about this place. The staff is incredibly friendly and the poke is fresh/delicious!"

Poke Sushi Roll is open from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5–9 p.m. on weekdays and noon–9 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
