Last night, a first-alarm fire broke out at 426 Ivy St. (at Octavia) in Hayes Valley. The SF Fire Department (SFFD) initially reported the fire at 11:25 p.m. It was contained 25 minutes later, at 11:50 p.m.

According to the SFFD, no one was injured, but flames were visible in the neighborhood last night and some neighbors might have also smelled the smoke.

A SFFD spokesperson told Hoodline this morning that two adults were displaced by the fire. The Red Cross and city services were able to provide care to the two displaced residents.

When asked if there will be an investigation as to the cause of the fire, the spokesperson said that it has been determined that the fire was accidental.
