A new vegan spot specializing in Thai cuisine has made its debut in Santa Monica. Located at 2315 Santa Monica Blvd., the new arrival is called Thai Vegan II.

The quick-service eatery — with its original location situated on Main Street — features an extensive menu of popular Thai standbys with a vegan twist.

Offerings include vegan pad Thai; tom yum soup; spicy noodles with mint leaves, broccoli, green onion and soy chicken; and yellow curry with potatoes, carrots and kabocha squash.

For dessert, indulge in a scoop of coconut ice cream topped with peanuts; or try the mango and sweet rice — a traditional Thai dessert made with mango, glutinous rice and coconut milk. (You can view the menu on Yelp here.)

With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Thai Vegan II seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Sissy Z., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 26, wrote, "Stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Had the spicy noodle and orange chicken. Orange chicken was well prepared, firm (not soggy), coated in a wonderful orange sauce and garnished with slices of juicy sweet oranges."

"Great pad Thai and green papaya salad!" added Yelper Crystal F. "So nice to have this new location in the neighborhood for quick takeout nights!"

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Thai Vegan II is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
