The SFPD is investigating a homicide on the 200 block of Turk Street that left two sisters dead yesterday evening.

Officer Joseph Tomlinson from the SFPD Media Relations Department stated that at about 5:24 p.m. yesterday, August 8, officers responded to a call regarding two deceased persons inside an apartment on the block. Upon arrival, the officers found two victims suffering from apparent stab wounds. The victims, confirmed sisters, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officer Tomlinson added that the SFPD is investigating the deaths as a possible murder-suicide.

[Update, 11:37 a.m.] The SFPD reports that the victims are ages 56 and 51, and are the residents of the apartment.
