There's a little something for everyone coming up on the events calendar this weekend. From a family-friendly medical conference to a Latin celebration to a live country music performance, here are the best options to help you get social around town.

Sixth Annual REACH Symposium

This Saturday, bring the family over to Shriners Hospital for Children for the annual REACH symposium. 

An array of medical professionals and REACH board members convene every year to discuss current Hirschsprung Disease (HD) research, educate families and raise more awareness for those impacted by the disease. 

The event is free, child-friendly and HD families are encouraged to attend.

When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Latin America Independence Celebration

Over at Southside Park, join the fiesta en la calle (party in the street) to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. 

The event is free and will feature appearances by Los Autenticos de Sacramento, Aztec dancers and Resaca Records Collective with Sam Miranda and La Noche Oskura. 

Food, drinks, arts and crafts will be on offer as well, along with a special car show display. 

When: Sunday, Sept. 16, 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Cracker performs at the Goldfield Trading Post

Last but not least, come on over to downtown Sacramento's newest country bar and venue for an evening with Cracker, an American band that has amassed 10 studio albums, multiple gold records and thousands of live performances in its 24-year history, according to the group's website. 

The band will play two sets and all ages are welcome. 

When: Sunday, Sept. 16, 7:30 p.m.
