If you've got seafood on the brain, you're in luck. We've found the freshest New York City eateries to quell your cravings. Here are the newest places to check out the next time you're in the mood for some seafood.

The Flying Fisherman

269 Columbus Ave., Upper West Side

First up is The Flying Fisherman, a spot to score traditional seafood dishes and more between 72nd and 73rd streets. 

Get ready for a large assortment of sea fare like barbecued prawns with crispy smashed scallion potatoes; caramelized scallops with sunchoke puree, mushrooms and Swiss chard; and rock shrimp pasta with smoked paprika sauce. The restaurant features a full bar offering cocktails, wine and beer and serves raw oysters, littleneck clams and shrimp cocktails at its fisherman's bar. 

Yelpers are still warming up to The Flying Fisherman, which currently holds 3.5 stars out of 14 reviews on the site.

"A welcome addition to the neighborhood," wrote Yelper C F., who reviewed the restaurant on Sept. 8. "We were impressed by a warm greeting followed by some familiar offerings, complemented by some unusual selections such as corn succotash, jalea and steamed chard. But, it was the seafood staples that were the shining light for us. The lobster roll, octopus and prawns were outstanding."

Yelper David C. noted, "Great new seafood spot in the neighborhood. Great meal all around. Enjoyed the bluepoint oysters, charred octopus, crab cakes and seared ahi tuna with mango sauce. ... Great service as well."

The Flying Fisherman is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. daily.

Heaven On The Bay

Next on the list is Heaven On The Bay, a new Brooklyn restaurant with white tablecloths and outdoor seating. 

While seafood lovers will find menu items like Atlantic salmon with fresh basil; grilled octopus with asparagus and Roma tomatoes; raw oysters by the dozen; grilled shrimp skewers; and oysters Rockefeller — meat lovers can enjoy grilled chicken or filet mignon with roasted vegetables. 

Heaven On The Bay's current Yelp rating of 4.5 stars out of three reviews indicates positive feedback from diners. 

Yelper Daniel S., who reviewed it on Sept. 9, wrote, "Great food and a great party. Service is on point. Food is on point. Great for private events."

Orkhan I. noted, "Delicious food. It is almost a brand-new restaurant and they have a really nice menu, meaning they have a good amount of options to choose from, but the food was delicious."

Heaven On The Bay is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Monday.)

Taverna On The Bay

661 Bay St., Clifton

Taverna On The Bay features seafood, steaks, pizza and appetizers with Mediterranean flair, a robust wine list and a full bar. 

This Staten Island establishment presents a unique twist on menu items like codfish mariscada served with mussels, clams, fresh tomatoes and garlic in white wine; fillet of sole broiled in lemon with garlic, white wine and breadcrumbs; and broiled whole Mediterranean snapper wrapped in aluminum foil with mussels and clams. 

The new restaurant has just one review on Yelp thus far, which gives it five stars. 

"Love the food," Yelper Steven A. said. "It's amazing. I can't wait to go again. No disappointments here. This is the best place to go get a bite to eat. Love you guys."

Taverna On The Bay is open from noon–10 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, noon–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon–9 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

Seamore's

250 Vesey St., Battery Park

Seamore's is a chain that features upscale American fare with a heavy nod to seafood. Situated right off the Hudson River in Brookfield Place, this new location boasts a large dining room with more than 200 seats plus an outdoor patio that accommodates 70.

The menu offers lobster rolls, avocado fritters, homemade potato chips, lobster macaroni and cheese, fish tacos, tuna poke, crispy squid, blackened shrimp, seared fish, steak and eggs, avocado toast and summer gazpacho with chilled lobster and strawberry. 

Seamore's current rating of 3.5 stars out of 35 reviews on Yelp indicates the newcomer is finding its way, but it's still early days.

"The staff was very friendly and welcoming," Yelper Niv P. wrote. "I ordered the crispy fish taco, which was absolutely delicious. The place itself is very cute and has a great ambience. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating. We had no problem with the service, and all our orders came pretty quickly."

    Yelper Michelle L. added, "So glad they opened Seamore's at Brookfield. I've been to their SoHo location and expected just as good quality at this location and they sure delivered. With both indoor and outdoor space, this place is great for a social gathering."

    Seamore's is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. weekdays and noon–10 p.m. on weekends.

    George's

    Last but not least is George's, a traditional American spot with a vintage touch and a Hollywood theme that features live music. 

    Formerly the Astor Room, this fresh joint features a movie-inspired menu, and serves up eats like bluepoint oysters on the half shell; lump crab cakes with horseradish sauce, truffle fries and coleslaw; seafood risotto with jumbo shrimp, dry sea scallops, clams and calamari; and halibut served with lemon basil sauce. A brunch menu and a selection of pizzas are also on offer. 

    The new restaurant has received 11 reviews on Yelp, which gives it a 3.5-star rating.

    "We had such a good time and a delicious dinner," Yelper Sally B. wrote. "The menu is varied and there's something for everyone. John, the host/chef, is inviting, funny and knowledgeable. George's is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the trip."

    Yelper Raymond W. added, "I can never say enough good things about this place. Good food, good drinks, phenomenal staff. Go for brunch and enjoy the piano and vocals of Morgan Riley."

    George's is open from 5–10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 5–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and 5–9 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
