Cheeseburgers are among America's most popular culinary offerings. And even though delicious cheeseburgers don't need their own day of recognition, they have one. That's right: National Cheeseburger Day is on September 18 — just around the corner — and there's no better excuse to indulge.

In honor of National Cheeseburger Day, Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the most delicious options for burgers around Sacramento, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the city's best cheeseburger joints.

 1. Burgers And Brew

Topping the list is popular local Davis-based restaurant and brewery Burgers and Brew. In the 11 years the eatery has been in operation, more than one iteration on its basic concept has sprung up, but the 1409 R St. location is still the most popular burger spot in Sacramento.

Burgers and Brew boasts four stars out of 2,631 reviews on Yelp for offerings like the spicy guacamole cheeseburger: a half-pound Niman Ranch burger topped with house-made spicy guacamole, jalapeño mayo and pepper jack cheese. Yelpers also love the garlic fries and sweet potato fries.

2. Falafel Corner

In addition to its gyros, Falafel Corner offers a substantial menu of burgers and cheeseburgers, making the local Northern California spot a burger joint and a Mediterranean bistro.

Reviewers love the Badmash Burger — a double patty with an egg, bacon, and both Swiss and cheddar cheese — and the Tex-Mex burger, with grilled onions, bell peppers, jalapeños and barbecue sauce. (Take a look at the full menu here.)

3. Monsoon Burgers
