Lockhart Smokehouse is a barbecue joint located within the new Texas Live! restaurant complex and live music venue. This is the barbecue chain's third location overall; the other two are in Dallas and Plano.

On the menu, you'll see options like brisket (both lean and moist), turkey, half or whole chicken and the shoulder clod — a cut leaner than brisket with a stronger beef flavor. There are also pork chops and ribs, sausages and sides like potato salad, brisket deviled eggs and smoked baked beans.

Lockhart Smokehouse currently holds 3.5 stars out of seven reviews on Yelp, indicating fair reviews.

Moto S., who reviewed the barbecue spot on Aug. 23, wrote, "The ribs were pretty big, got two of them to a half pound. [T]he brisket had good flavor and was moist and tender. [A]nd while I really don't care for the coarse grind sausage they use — one reason: because it tends to fall apart some — it was really good as well."

Yelper Rene B. added, “Ribs were good, but the brisket was more on the dry side for me. Really enjoyed the jalapeño mac and cheese, as well as the deviled eggs. As it was in Texas Live, the atmosphere was good."

Lockhart Smokehouse is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday-Sunday.

Troy's is a cocktail bar and New American spot, offering elevated bar food, live music and signature cocktails. Owned by Cowboys Hall of Famer Troy Aikman, it's also in the Texas Live! complex.

On the menu, expect to find dishes like the Frito Pie Burger (spicy Texas chili, onions, jalapeños, sharp cheddar, Fritos and sour cream drizzle), the Korean BBQ Burger (bulgogi glaze, kimchi, onion and daikon slaw, kimchi mayo and Korean barbecue sauce) and the Cod Banh Mi (grilled or tempura fried cod fillet, cilantro, sriracha mayo, garlic, fish sauce, lime jalapeño, rice vinegar and pickled slaw).

Round out your meal with sides like french fries, tater tots, sweet potato fries and more. Finish up with some carrot cake or churro doughnuts. (See the full menu here.)

With a 3.5-star rating out of 21 reviews on Yelp, Troy's is off to a solid start.

Yelper Callie L., who was the first to review it on August 10, wrote, "Well rounded menu with plenty of options. Definitely something for everyone. Burger section is huge, but they also have a lot of healthy dishes."

Edward K. added, "Great place, love the atmosphere. I had a pimento burger, very good. Beer was cold, good service. The pretzel bites were a great appetizer. The outdoor space looked really nice."

Troy's is open from 11 a.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.–11:45 p.m. on Sunday.
