On Wednesday afternoon, a 75-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a large truck driving on Cortland Avenue at Ellsworth Street.

According to police, the woman was transported to a hospital in life-threatening condition.

After the traffic collision, which occurred at 2:29 p.m., the driver remained at the scene.

Due to the collision investigation, both directions of Cortland Avenue were closed and the 24-Divisadero and 67-Bernal Heights bus lines were rerouted in the area. According to SFPD's Ingleside station, the road reopened at 6:14 p.m.
