Topping the list is SugarBakers Cakes, with four stars out of 120 Yelp reviews. The business is known for its special-order wedding and birthday cakes, but you can also stop into the retail shop for cookies, pastries, dessert bars and pies. 2. Scittino's Italian Market Place

Next up is Scittino's Italian Market Place, which has earned four stars out of 118 reviews on Yelp. Open since 1973, this deli and bakery makes its own pastries, biscotti, cookies and cakes. You'll find cannoli, eclairs with custard cream, pecan nut sticks and coconut macarons dipped in chocolate among the seasonal specialties.

A food menu offers deli sandwiches and sides, and you can buy olives, pasta and olive oil in the market. You can find it all at 1701 Edmondson Ave.

3. The Crepe Escape

Last but not least, there's The Crepe Escape, a local favorite with four stars out of 75 reviews. Its long list of treats includes everything from sweet and savory crêpes to bubble tea and smoothies.
