A year after moving to a new space at 549 Hayes St. (and Laguna), Hoodline tipster Elena K. alerted us that neighborhood stationery and gift shop Lavish is again changing locations.

Lavish said in a newsletter, which the company sent out last week, that it will pop up "through the holidays" inside Grove Street Market at 500 Grove St. (and Octavia), after hosting a moving sale at its Hayes Street location.

Customers can get updates about future opening hours and locations by following Lavish's Instagram account.

As we previously reported, Lavish was founded in 2003 by former owner Elizabeth Leu, who also owns Fiddlesticks. The shop’s current owner, Nicole Bald, began working at the shop 13 years ago while pursuing a history degree at  San Francisco State.

Over the years, Bald changed roles from sales associate to buyer, and when Leu was ready to sell the store in 2009, she approached Bald her first.

We reached out to Lavish to learn more about the shop's departure and where shoppers can find the gift store after the holidays, but have not heard back.
