Topping the list is Joe's Place. Located at 2 Williams St., the bookstore and wine bar is the highest rated in Greenville, boasting five stars out of 25 reviews on Yelp.

The shop primarily sells an extensive selection of used books, but new books are also on offer. Stop by the third Tuesday of every month for the Books & Beyond book club.

Yelper Karen S. wrote, "Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, and all the books you would need. It doesn't hurt that they have a coffee bar, as well as plenty of wine and beer to choose from."

It regularly hosts local authors and offers a children's storytime every Saturday morning.

Yelper Cheryl H. wrote, "Great small bookstore in the center of downtown Greenville within walking distance of Falls Park. Plenty of tables and chairs, loads of books and local items for sale. Come in and browse, eat a cupcake and celebrate reading."
