Bachi

A new sushi bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 2700 W. Mallard Creek Church Road, Suite 200, the fresh addition is called Bachi.

Bachi specializes in Japanese and Filipino dishes and also serves vegan options. Look for a wide array of sushi rolls, hibachi meals and small plates. Stop by on Sunday for the special Filipino menu, featuring pinakbet (vegetable stew) and pork adobo. See the full menu here.   

With a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, Bachi is off to a strong start. 

Julie V., who reviewed the new spot on Nov. 4, wrote, "Ordered many of the Filipino dishes as well as sushi and everything was great! The service was great and the portions were good."

Groucho's Deli

Looking for a new deli to check out? Groucho's Deli, a regional chain with several locations throughout the Carolinas, has you covered. 

Located at 5110 Park Road, 1G, the new arrival offers dipper sandwiches, salads, melts and more. Look for the STP Dipper, which features roast beef, turkey, Swiss cheese and bacon crumbs. You can view the full menu here.   

With a four-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Groucho's Deli is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Krystle M., who reviewed the new spot on Oct. 26, wrote, "I saw a picture of the STP Dipper and I knew I had to try it. I was impressed with my sandwich and the taste of the pasta salad."

Que Onda Tacos University

Head over to 9601 N. Tryon St., Suite K, and you'll find Que Onda Tacos University, a new Mexican spot. With four locations in Charlotte, Que Onda Tacos specializes in street tacos. The new arrival in University also has a wide selection of drinks including tequila and Mexican tarros (beer).

With five stars out of six reviews on Yelp, the spot is receiving positive attention. Yelper Dee W. wrote, "Great service, clean restaurant and decent menu options. The steak quesadillas were really good."
