If you're in the mood for something new, you're in luck: we've found the freshest Saint Paul eateries to quell your cravings. Here are the newest places to check out the next time you're hungry for cheese curds, Cajun catfish and more. 

St. Paul Tap

825 W. Jefferson Ave., West Seventh

St. Paul Tap is a beer bar and traditional American spot offering a wide variety of food, drink and gaming options. Snacks include smothered tater tots, cheese curds and barbecue pork nachos. Pair your fare with one of the 18 beers on tap. 

Six gaming consoles are on offer and include games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, Mario Kart, Black Ops 4 and many more. Check out the website here for more information. 

Bill M., who reviewed it on Nov. 22, wrote, "You guys absolutely nailed this renovation! I stopped in for lunch today and had to spend the first five minutes walking around looking at all the things. It is so cool in here now!"

Kim H. noted, "Stumbled upon this new place. It's a sports bar with build-your-own burgers, video games, pool tables and pinball machines. I mean what more do you want?"

Momma's Kitchen

Momma's Kitchen is a soul food spot, offering chicken wings, wraps and much more. Notable menu options include loaded mac and cheese bowls (Buffalo chicken, carne asada or Sriracha shrimp), loaded rice bowls (chicken, steak and shrimp) and a number of combination platters such as the blackened Cajun catfish plate served on a toasted bun with pickles. With a 3.5-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp, Momma's Kitchen is still finding its way, but it's early days.

Yelper Dan S., who reviewed the eatery on Nov. 18, wrote, "I ordered the marinated steak on top of macaroni and cheese. I was going to eat it at home but I never made it. Each red light I got to I took another couple bites until it was all gone."

Lucia S. added, "Everything I had was great. The catfish was well seasoned and crispy and the mac and cheese was so creamy and flavorful!"

Momma's Kitchen is open from noon–8 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

Green & Grill Global Taste

467 St. Peter St., Downtown

Green & Grill Global Taste is a fusion restaurant that serves up fare from around the world, including Southern-style favorites. 

Notable menu options include the three-piece catfish dinner, barbecued ribs and chicken and lamb chops with sides like Texas corn, mac and cheese and loaded green beans. Gyros, chapati wraps and jerk tacos are also on offer. Take a look at the website for a full list of offerings. 

With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp, Green & Grill Global Taste has been getting positive attention.

Yelper Rose N. wrote, "I had jerk chicken over rice. The chicken was falling-off-the-bone tender and was flavored with just the right spice. My two sides, greens and yams, were excellent!"

Nick P. noted, "Overall, a great experience. Had a loaded Juicy Lucy and fries and it was fantastic."

Green & Grill Global Taste is open from 8 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
