Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best high-end steakhouses in Greenville, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to satisfy your cravings.

1. Halls Chophouse Greenville

Topping the list is Halls Chophouse Greenville. Located at 550 S. Main St., it is the highest rated upscale steakhouse in Greenville, boasting 4.5 stars out of 203 reviews on Yelp.

With another location in Charleston, Halls Chophouse offers wet and dry-aged beef. The menu also features locally sourced fish, poultry, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Live entertainment is available on a nightly basis.

2. Larkin's on the River

Next up is Larkin's on the River, situated at 318 S. Main St. With four stars out of 245 reviews on Yelp, the steakhouse has proven to be a local favorite for those looking to indulge.

The dry-aged New York strip and center-cut bone-in ribeye are among the offerings on the menu. Larkin's on the River also has a variety of seasonal selections including the Torpedo Tenderloin, rack of lamb and Chilean sea bass.

3. Rick Erwin's West End Grille

Rick Erwin's West End Grille is another go-to with four stars out of 108 reviews on Yelp. Located at 648 S. Main St., this local favorite is part of a restaurant group with several other outposts. 

Rick Erwin's specializes in aged and premium cuts of beef, but also offers options like apple-thyme chicken and crab cakes in a lobster cream sauce. The Greenville location, situated in the West End, was established in 2005.

Yelper Shelby B. noted, "This place is all about the meat. There are vegetarian, pasta, fish and chicken options that are all delicious but the real star of this restaurant is the quality and number of options for red meat."

4. Ruth's Chris Steak House

Then there's Ruth's Chris Steak House at 250 Riverplace in downtown Greenville, which boasts four stars out of 49 Yelp reviews.  

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is a national chain specializing in steaks that are topped with butter. In addition to a wide variety of steaks, the local outpost also features seafood options including Chilean sea bass, lobster and salmon as well as shrimp and grits.  

Yelper Karen S. noted, "My husband and I did a prix fixe menu and it was so much food for that price. Everything, from start to finish, was perfect. Great choices for cocktails and wine, plenty of food options, and just a really lovely place to enjoy a meal."
