Fallen tree shuts down Hayes Street

A downed tree is blocking lanes in both directions at 349 Hayes St. in Hayes Valley, according to the San Francisco Fire Department in a Twitter post this morning.

The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management has advised residents to avoid the area of Hayes Street between Franklin and Gough streets. Muni service and traffic may also be impacted as crews work to removed the fallen foliage and branches.

SFFD officials said that an unoccupied car was involved in the incident, though no injuries have been reported.
